I'm not sure why, but I really struggled to get into the festive spirit (or whatever you like to call it) this year. I'm a little bit Grinch-y this year. Ha! Christmas is always a bit of a funny time of year for me personally. There is such a big emphasis on family, and living away from family meant that Christmas can be a little bit of a lonely time of year. I am so thankful for amazing friends (and their families) that have taken me in and treated me like I was one of their own. Christmas is a time where I get to spoil the people that have really made a difference in my life. It is a time of feasting and then vegging out. It is an opportunity to create new Christmas traditions with the people that I call family.

No matter what you get up to this holiday, here's to one filled with good food, great company and lots of fun memories!
